Storyline
Lawrence plays the "ne'er-do-well" who responds to a Craigslist ad that was posted by the mother and father of an introverted and socially awkward teen boy who is also getting ready to go to college.
About the movie
When Maddie (Lawrence) finds out she is about to lose her childhood home, she is intrigued. Rich helicopter parents are looking for someone to date their withdrawn 19-year-old son, Percy, before he leaves for college. Maddie quickly learns that the awkward Percy is not a sure thing, much to her astonishment.
Such is the situation for Charly, the adolescent lead of the recently released German comedy Hard Feelings, which is now available to stream on Netflix. He has to worry about his penis, which stands to attention at the most inconvenient times (at one point, he gets an erection while performing on his school stage), in addition to all the typical issues that teenagers today experience at school. Additionally, he must hide the fact that his penis can speak!
There are other characters in the film with chattering genitalia than Charly. The film follows him and his closest friend Paula as they struggle to deal with their loud body parts while also navigating the regular difficulties that adolescents encounter at home and in school. Paula has a similar issue.
